Owned Content Management System (CMS) strategy and UX requirements for next-gen IPTV video platform. Defined business and product requirements, feature requests, use-cases, acceptance criteria, product priorities and roadmap for home-grown CMS system, OnIT. Specific focus was on the merchandising & publishing aspects of the tooling, including: metadata management, collection curation, subscription management, account administration, and SSO integration. CMS system used by 700+ enterprise users.

Launched go90, Verizon’s streaming video service. Managed a team responsible for programming features & 24/7 app monitoring. Operational and product lead responsible for designing, implementing, and managing publishing operations, merchandising strategy and new product features. Developed self-service merchandising tooling to be used by external partners including product requirements, level of support & escalation procedures, and how-to documentation. Invented processes for day-to-day operations related to merchandising and onboarding of over 30 live-streaming partners, metadata delivery for 10,000+ assets, and programming 450+ live events. Created the Merchandising Operations Run Book, a manual defining all processes, workflows and documentation related to programming the app. Drafted 200+ pages of technical documentation related to merchandising CMS tools, escalation procedures, and training documentation.

Built the programming workflows from the ground up to launch OnCue, an OTT service. Defined feature-publishing workflows to affect live programming updates in under 5 minutes with built-in flexibility to accommodate both planned and unplanned changes. Implemented daily programming feature updates to the curated, a la carte programming menu; 40% of all viewership solely used this feature to locate viewable content. Created and managed merchandising feature calendar: planning daily and seasonal campaigns.
Division was acquired by Verizon in 2014.
